What does a wampum bead look like?

As posted on an earlier post, wampum was produced by the Indian women by intense eight hours of work where they drilled holes into the shell and made them into a one quarter of an inch cylinder bead.

To view what a single wampum bead looks like in today's market, see the Mohican Press website for shapes, sizes, and prices. Keeping in mind that the original Indian women did this process by hand and not by machine.
